After the first round when Dan Henderson won I was like uh oh Anderson. But he comes out in the second round and totally dominates and puts to rest any doubt about his reign. Can anybody step up and challenge. But more importantly is Anderson Silva one of the best ever to step into the octagon. He has my vote after last night.
I like the new system because it vaults me back into the top 100 where I rightfully belong. lol. So that in turn makes me the best thing to come out of Oregon since Joey Harrington. lol
BJ Penn dominated Joe Daddy Stevenson to be one of only two men to hold UFC belts in two divisions. Penn cut Stevenson pretty good and dominated the fight in convincing fashion. There has been a new Penn as of late who has taken training and fighting more seriously. Instead of depending on his technique and raw talent. He's fit and trim now and his new approach to the sport shows by way of his increased stamina. Which always seemed to kill him in fights he was winning but always ran out of gas ( ex. Hughes, Geogre St. Pierre). Next up is a fight with Sean Sherk. Which if he wins would solidify his hold on the lightweight belt. After which he is bent on a rematch with St. Pierre. After tonights fight he's on the right path to rectifying an almost underachieving career.
The exciting thing about the Blazers is how poised and controled they are. They had a big lead in Miami late in the third and early 4th. The Blazers didn't panic at any point kept their composure and promptly went on a 19 to 2 run. They are young but play that half court game which is going to help them out come playoffs. People better get it in thier minds they ain't playing for a playoff spot but rather seeding.
And as always what can I say about Brandon Roy. I know That I'm always screaming about him being on the All star team. Forget that I'm screaming he better get MVP votes. He's leading this year at a pace folks thought would be years away. He's lighting Dwayne Wade up in the 4th. Recognize.
1. Shawn Marion has the ugliest shot ever. Effective but ugly. Whatever fills up the cup I guess.
2. Why in the world did Kobe Bryant continue to pass the ball. His teammates clearly didn't have it tonight. The Lakers did make a run but only after Bryant was on the bench.
3. Losing Bynum changes the diameter of this team.
4. Remember when Trevor Ariza had like one good game and everyone was going off. Whatever happened to him?
5. Will this win propel the Suns out of their small slump.
I wish I could be a fly on the wall when Michael Jordan gave his talk a couple games back. He sure lit a fire under them. They are argueably the hottest team out there as of late. Gerald Wallace is an emerging star. But to have MJ come into your lockerroom and pump you up. I sure as heck would rachet up my effort.
Just wanted to touch on this a bit. It's bothersome to me. As an athlete I need my protein. But cloned meat just scares me. And now to find out they don't have to put labels telling of its content. When I think of cloned meat I think of Mad cow disease or other afflictions. How do these so called experts know this meat won't be harmful down the line. I guess I'm just going to have to stick to deer, elk, and buffalo from now on. The End.
They was looking ordinary the whole game giving leads right back after recieving them. Usually they rise up at home. But letting Billy Bleeping Volek dice you up is unacceptable. I was looking forward as was the whole world to seeing a epic rematch with the Pats. Darn you Colt's Defense. For that is where I place the blame. The end.
